Legumi Sushi
I was on a mission to visit Legumi Sushi for a while 😄. No chance I was going to miss out on eating vegan sushi at its finest!
To get there we had to walk up the steep hills of Lisbon, which is part of the character beautiful Lisbon has to offer. We were rewarded at the top of the hill with not only an incredibly stunning night light view overlooking the city, in addition we had the most unique and flavourful sushi experience our taste buds have ever encountered, for real!
The restaurant itself is a small, neighborhood establishment. It is quiet and friendly, which easily allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience.
Coming with a clear agenda, we were ambitious to have ordered what can only be described as a 40-piece sushi boat-platter 😍
Before ordering, the lovely staff asked us if we have any allergies or things we wish to not have in your sushi. The reason they ask is because the 40-piece platter changes depending on what is available and the chef’s unique creative mindset.
I could not for the life of me even begin to decipher what we have tasted. There were so many interesting ingredients in the sushi such as orange and other fruit, mock-salamon, mock-tuna etc. I can honestly say a lot of sushi places can learn from Legumi Sushi’s innovative dishes.
After stuffing ourselves with lots of sushi, we were thankful the trip back to the hotel was all downhill after realising our eyes were bigger than our bellies 😄 . It is to be noted that Will at this point in life had never tried sushi before 😱 and was amazed by the variety. Well done Legumi Sushi!
This is definitely a not to be missed food option when visiting Portugal’s capital.
