Many would consider Dover to be a passing town. Holiday goers make their way to the ferry port in order to cross the English Channel. I discovered that Dover is more than that.
On a clear day, you can see the Alabaster Coast of Normandy in France from the iconic White Cliffs of Dover. To get there, I hiked to the top in what took about 3 hours from the beachfront to the South Foreland Lighthouse. I could have hiked faster, but constantly stopped to photograph the scenery along the way.
I kept to the paths closest to the seafront to view arrival and departure of the ferries below and the town of Dover escaping in the distance behind me. My passion to experience the wondrous and breathtaking scenery brought me to the top.
